What is Harpinger PLT?

Harpinger Precision Locate Tool extends the information given to you by cellular carriers during ongoing court orders.  Usually the pings are sent via email to a single account and contain limited information that must be transcribed or further disseminated manually.  Harpinger automates that process allowing you to forward the device location to any number of field agents, easily collate the locations, turn coordinates into addresses, and utilize geo fences to alert agents when a device enters or leaves an area.  Harpinger PLT was created and is managed by a sworn law enforcement officer and NATIA member under Constructive Analytics, LLC.

How does it work?

Harpinger accepts a forwarded copy of the email sent by the carrier and automatically scrapes the information contained in it.   Within seconds, several key bits of information are added and the ping is sent out to any number of email addresses.  There is no software to install.  Everything works from our server.  The only thing you need to do is set up a forwarding rule in your email account which we help with.

How secure is it?

Harpinger PLT is run by Constructive Analytics, LLC which is owned and operated by full time law enforcement personnel.  Our server is located in a secure environment and we have assisted local, state, and federal agencies with their investigations.  One reason we don’t advertise online or maintain a website for Harpinger PLT is to enhance the security and integrity of your data. 

How do I initiate a case?

You initiate a case by sending an email to sales@constructiveanalytics.com.  Or, complete the webform at the bottom of this page.  From there you will be assigned an email address to set up as a forwarding rule in your email account.  Shortly after that you will begin receiving the enhanced ping data supplied by Harpinger at the email addresses of your choice.

What kind of information do I receive from Harpinger?

At minimum you receive the device location listed as an actual address hyperlinked to Google Maps, the reported radius, the date and time of location, and the last 10 device locations to determine if the target is moving or stationary.  Certain carriers will provide additional information in the emails or programs. Penlink will provide additional data that can be emailed and collated by Harpinger.  In those cases you may also receive a running total of the contacts made by the device.  You also receive a daily or hourly digest that you can play as an animation in Google Earth.  The Google Earth file shows the radius of each ping as well as the calculated coordinates given by the carrier to identify the most likely location of the device.  The daily digest also includes a spreadsheet of all geo coded addresses and an ordered tally of matching addresses.
